Mi Familia Loca

Towards the end of the school year, my 7th graders study family. One of my all time favorite projects during this unit is Mi Familia Loca. Students create a magazine collage of a fictitious family member of their choice. They love searching for the perfect head, torso, and legs. Then they start on the real work, a written paragraph all about this family member. It's a great way to recycle all the material we've learned so far in the school year (regular verbs, gustar, school, time, days, clothing, etc.) We print and paste their final work on brightly colored paper and display it in the hallway. The 8th graders love to look back at where they were just a year ago and 7th graders are impressed with how much they've learned so far!
