Summer rebajas are coming to an end. Have you taken advantage of the sales?!

Twice a year in Spain, stores have major discounts, similar to our Black Friday in the United States. The first happens after Christmas, the second during the summer months of July and August. Hitting up the stores during the first days ensures a wide variety of items, but other choose to wait for the second wave of discounts, sometimes up to 70% off!

If your students are studying clothing, send them on a virtual shopping trip. I 'give' students 100-200 euro and ask them to put together an outfit from a typical Spanish store. (Trucco, Desigual, Custo Barceona, Sfera, Mango, H&M, Blanco, Corte Inglés, Pull & Bear) They compile pictures on a slideshow and write a description of the clothing. They could present orally to the class or have a conversation with a partner about the clothing they chose. Have them look at, and 'buy' from different stores to see what kind of fashion is popular in Europe.
